Many people do not understand how important it is to be tested for cervical cancer or how it could save their lives. Do you or someone in your family have cervical cancer? Are you 50 years of age or older? Have you been putting off testing?

I had cervical cancer two years ago and had to under go surgery to have it removed. I was lucky to have caught it before it was too late. However, I found out that I had endomitriosis in November of this year and had to have a hystorectomy. I am only 30 and would have loved to have had another child. How unfortunate that it didn't matter what I did, I wasn't meant to have another child.

How ironic, I have to go back to the doctor later this month because I had an abnormal pap. I had no idea that March was Cervical Cancer Awareness month.

Yes it is and the center for disease control is trying to get the message out. there are many people at risk and don't know it. Many people have complications from cervical cancer because they dont get tested. Hope all goes well with you at the doctor and please remind the ones you love they need to be tested.
