I've noticed that no one reads books anymore unless they have to. I guess I'd have to say that about myself but not because I don't want to but because I don't have the time to. Do you still like to read books? If so, What kind?

Nope, not entirely true. At least I am still an avid reader of real books! :P I love fiction - fantasy and sci fic. I always have a book with me, and would "exchange" them at the library when I finish it. ;-)

I LOVE books. I read at least one book every couple of weeks. I could read so much faster if I didn't have kids and this darn Mylot that I am addicted to! LOL I do read a lot, though. I love it. My favorite books are horror/suspense. I love Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, etc. I like a book that grabs my attention from the beginning and I am enthralled until the last sentence. I love to be SO into the book, that I catch myself heart racing and skimming ahead just to see what is going to happen a couple of paragraphs later. :) These are MY type of books!! :)

I love reading. I am currently reading Stephen King. You could always find time to read before you go to sleep. That's usually when I read. I find it relaxes me. Plus, there's no noise around to bother me.

I simply love to read books. In fact, I have my own library where I collect books. I boast of a good Asimov Collection, Crichton Collection, R.K. Narayan Collection apart for a lot of other fiction writers and management gurus. I also try and encourage others to take up books and have also written articles on the art of taking up books as a hobby. You can read my complete article on this at the following link: http://www.epinions.com/content_3045499012 These days though it is difficult to get kids take up reading as a hobby as books have to complete with motion pictures on TV and Reality in the form of internet. Books suffer in comparison with both these, though Book reading is a wonderful habit. Cheers! Ram

Yeah I think most kids are replacing books with movies and tv shows. "Why read when I can watch it on TV?"

I still read. I'm always reading the classic novels like Thoreau, Plato, Milton and so much more. Granted they are harder to read, but they are more interesting.

You are wrong my friend. I love to read books...from reference, history, inspirational to romance books and I certainly know a lot of people who loves to read books as I am. I am actually reading a book right now about herbal remedies and virgin coconut oil.

I love reading books. I especially like sci-fi, mystery and murders. At times, I can even finished reading the whole book for the entire day. I have to admit though, that since joining mylot, I can read for about 3 pages only before hitting the bed. :)

When I was yet a little witty and nerdy girl, I used to be an avid fan of book... My mom used to give me a bunch of fairy tale book, bible story books, and all those stuffs. But when I started growing up and especially when I went to college I hardly even opened my subject text books...lol and I could only finish one romance novel in a year... :P the one I had last year was Danielle Steel's "Summer's End"... and for this year, I still haven't figured out what to grab. Am not totally lazy, well part of it yeah..but i consider time constraint as the main reason for me not reading books a lot.

I read legal thrillers. Also very scary stuff by Dean Koontz. He is my absolute favorite novelist. I read during lunch as a break from my web work. I also sometimes read historical novels. It may sound dumb but sometimes I just like to re-read an old cookbook for gourmet foods preparation.

unfortunately i have to admit i've joined your club. i haven't read a book since i don't really know when...and it's because of the exact same reason:i don't have the time... studying for my exams(i think i've got you all soooo tired about this subject lol)has really got my whole time covered. and when i don't have my nose stuck into those books, i just go out for a walk with my boyfriend or a group of friends. so there is absolutely no time left for reading books... i really do hope i won't do this anymore after i'm done with all this stress...wish me luck :P
