When you get a BEST RESPONSE - do you thank them?

I have been going back and thanking them. Then I had someone to private message me and tell me that I shouldn't as that isn't considered a good way to 'make money.' Apparently, if you only posted your original response (the one that got 'best response') and go back to say 'thanks' it is seen as a second contribution to the discussion and counts in your response total. That is considered a lame way to get more money. (according to the person who messaged me!) Now I don't know what to do!

i havenet got any best response till yet . i think irs because i am a nnewbie dats y.anyways if i get a best response i will surely thank them . even you can help me in this if you wanna get thanked by me....lol

I never gave any comment to anyone when they choose my response as best, but I rate the topics on which I was marked. This for me, is my other way of thanking them, as I also knew that it is their obligation to choose which is the best response. I find it more time-saving and more helpful for them in creating more quality discussions..

Absolutely, i thank every1 who chooses my answer as his/her best. After all they are acknowledging my thoughts on the topic they hav posted, and it mite hav helped them in sm way or the other, becoz of which they hav hav thot of choosing me the best. Thanking sm1 dsn't make sm1 small or big. So i always do that.

I do. Although It's normally one of the last things I do around here. I love receiving the best response but I don't always say thank you as I feel it might appear that I'm trying to sweet talk my way to more. Those who have given me a few, I always pop by and say thanks and that it means a lot to me. ~Joey (I doubt mine are the best, but I do reply in a meaningful way. so I'm happy =) )

I used to always say thanks.. but recently I come to a realisation that it is not really necessary. So if there isn't a comment to my response, I would just leave it. Else, I would reply.

of course, i thank those who rate me as best response. i feel happy for that, being chosen for the reason. that's why i also make it a point to check my BEST RESPONSE..
