Have you ever fainted or passed out?

I've sure come close a few times and I wonder if others have ever experienced loosing consciousness completely? It happens to me often if I am laying down and get up too quickly. I think it has something to do with blood rushing to your head suddenly. Not sure. Also not eating properly can cause the same type of problem. Some other causes...fear, surprise, illness, shock, extreme happiness(you find out you have just won a million dollars). What caused you to faint or pass out?

Hi. ironstruck. In a way, this has never happened to me, ideally. I can say that when I was at church, my Pastor touched me while he was hearing from God and I passed out. I was aware of my surroundings and I could still hear him talking to others. When he touched me, I was so mesmerized and in a daze with the heavy anointing of God that came from him. It was just so awesome! This is the only time that I have considered myself to have ever passed out before.

I actually passed out not that long ago. Scared the beejeebers out of myself and my family. I'm still not sure exactly why it happened. I went to the doctor but he told me that it was probably just a combination of a bunch of things. I hadn't eaten all day because of a tooth ache. I took a couple of really strong painkillers to try to get rid of the toothache. One minute I was fine and the next I started feeling nausous so I started to go upstairs to the bathroom. Next thing I knew I was back at the bottom of the stairs on the floor with my son at my side and my boyfriend coming racing across the living room toward me. My vision was messed up, everything was a shade of gray. My boyfriend carried me upstairs and put me on the bed. I was fine within minutes but really scared because it's the first time in my life that I'd ever fainted.

high blood pressure or low blood pressure is a big factor and a killer at that. I suggest you go see a doctor for a check up just to see if you are okay. I have never passed out my my fiance has in his art class. He had to be rushed to the hospital. His blood pressure was so high he was at a risk for going into a coma.

yeah i do have fainted many a times, its due to my eating habits i feel. but i do not think fear, surprise, shock, extreme happiness can cause the same.

I never fainted, or passed out. Well, not yet anyway. :) Allthough I did notice the faint sensation you experience when you get up too sudden. My vision gets drak suddenly, but I can still stand, and I'm conscious. So this dosen't actually qualify as a regular faint or passing out.

i know how you feel about getting up too quickly. sometimes when i'm sitting on the floor, and stand up, i feel it and my vision turns black. you have to stay put for a second because you feel like you're gonna fall. nothing extreme has ever happened to me. i wonder though how it feels to faint just out of the blue. i did ALMOST faint while my nose my bleeding. i'm not sure if the sight of blood made me faint or the nose bleed itself. never happened to me after that.
