jobs for felons

I am seeking employment for a friend, he has several felonies PJ-

I am a convicted felon in search of work. I reside in Chicago, and I'm currently at a transitional community housing complex. I am sufficient in information systems (Microsoft NT,95,98,2000,Millineum,XP) In addition, I am a carpenters assistant. I have last worked as a carpenters assistant in 2002. I graduated from Malcolm X Community College in 1999 with a Associates of Arts in Computer Information Systems. If there is anyone who may know of an employer in the Chicagoland area, please assist me in my efforts in obtaining work.

i work in human resources. some companies will hire convicted felons, depending on what the job is, if you declare on your application that you have this conviction on your record and try not to hide it, etc.

Where are you located? What kinds of things are you interested in? There in an apprentice program (http://www.njatc.org/apprentice.htm) that you may want to look into. This will get you the training and job experience that you would need. I don't know anyone off hand that hires convicted felons, I know it can be diffiuclt to find a job. My ex-brother-in-law is a convicted felon and he got a job as a mechanic.
