Good afternoon friends! Did you all make it up in time to attend church or synagogue this morning? LOL. There were lots of people that missed Sunday School because they forgot about their clocks.
Pastor Tim spoke out of I Kings 11 and Song of Solomon Chapter 2 this morning. It was a great message on being careful to not miss the Little Things in life. Because if we do...we can either fall into a lot of trouble, or just miss out on blessings. It is important in our Christian walk to take notice of everything and everybody that God puts into our lives.
What did you hear from God's word this morning?

I set my clocks back early yesterday evening, so I had a little time to adjust to the change. We did have a few people absent today, and I figure the time change was the reason for some of them!
Pastor Larry spoke about sin, and our faith in Jesus being the ONLY way to Heaven! Great subject. And for those who like to leave rude comments:
I would rather live as if there is a God, and die to find out there's not;
than to live as if there were no God and die to find out there IS!

I do agree with you Trinka. I didn't feel it was necessary for him to be rude. See the message I left him.

this is so true. I also have times when God gives me a blessing in one area and I'm looking in the total opposite direction and just miss out on it.

I was busy throwing up, sorry to gross you out. I felt bad for missing because I like to hear my dad preach. I heard he did really well this morning in getting the message across. It was all about what do we, as Christians, care more for? The church building, making it look nice, or getting people here no matter what? We think it's all about us, all the church related causes, what we get out of church, but we lose focus on getting people into church and hearing about the Lord.

My pastor has a saying that I absolutely love. When he talks about our music minister he says "Brother Mike is going to come lead you in worship. But he can't take you where you don't want to go." It's up to each of us to put into it what we want to get out of it.

I never go to church, because it is a waste of time on my part to sing and talk to an imaginary friend.

I consider Christ my Savior. I'm sorry you don't believe, but that's your decision. Please do not degrade my beliefs and those of others on mylot, and I will afford you the same courtesy.
Yes, as a Christian I am loving, forgiving and tolerant.
I am not a doormat. I will stand up for my beliefs and my faith. If you do not agree, that is your decision, and I will respect you for that. I ask that you respect mine as well.

yes, you can certainly take your bible with you. And in my opinion, it is never too late to discuss God! He should be our primary focus every single day of our lives, and then everything else will fall into place. Do you mind if I pray that you will be off work in time to attend Sunday School?

That is a good message. We are getting ready to start a study series on Sunday evening called "Way of the master" it's all about sharing our faith with those around us. I'm looking forward to it! Everyone I've heard that's done the study says it's awesome.
