What is the worst book that you have ever read?

I would find it difficult to name one book as being particularly bad, as I am always glad to have read something, but what was the least enjoyable book that you have read? And why?

The worst book I ever read was Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. I had to read it for school (many years ago) and I remember that the book continued after the main character was crushed under foot. I remember hating it.

Exactly why did you dislike it, that is a very well liked and admired story.

This was an easy answer for me. The worst had to be "The Tommyknockers" by Stephen King. I kept hoping it would get better but it never did. Talk about a wasted amount of time to read it. There were some I also read for school but even those aren't the worst I read just not something I would have read normally. "The Tommyknockers" was one I choose and I felt really let down by it.

Do you think any of Stephen King's books are good?
