I've heard many times about this matter and i've experienced it pesonally too. whenever i have a stomachache or something i hold him near me and it passes away like it never appeared. do cats really have positive energy or it's just a matter of coincidence or self-suggestion?

Absolutely, cats do help in healing. Not only do they take your mind off whatever's bothering you by goofing off as usual, they also are very warm. Take for instance your stomach ache - by sitting on your tummy they impart warmth, which speeds your digestion. I find my female cat (who seems to know when I'm not feeling good) is a perfect cure for menstrual cramps. She plops right down and acts like a heating pad. Good stuff! It's also well documented that pet owners live longer, and have a better outlook on life. Hospitals use non-allergenic dogs to promote well-being in their patients. Nursing homes often have a "pet day", too.

cats are mysterious creatures, they have been regarded as gods by the ancient egyptians and were also mummified together with their owners. my cat Spot knows when i dont feel well. and no matter how down i may feel, she really perks me up!

I think they totally have positive energy. Just watching them makes me feel better, and when I am really down and one of my cats come up to me to snuggle, it just makes everything better. Maybe it is a little of both, I mean us cat lovers know just how much our cats can help us, so I think we expect to feel better with their help.

yeah, i know... too bad mine's been kinda agressive eversince i got him and i can't trust him the way i want to. he's a birmanian tomcat and i've heard that this breed is sort of agressive in most cases...

It could be a mix of all three. I don't know for sure if they have or haven't got powers to heal or anything. I am for sure that cats, any pet actually, can be a great stress reliver. They comfort us when we're sick or sad or stressing.

I actually think that they have positive energy. After a long day when I think I just can't take it anymore. There they are waiting for me at the door. Coming over by me and purring and wanting me to pet them and pay attention to them. And then you sit down and they are in your lap just making you feel so much better. Yes, I definitely think they have positive energy.

I think it can be a mixture of both. For one, cats have a calming energy over their owners. Pets have a calming energy over anyone anyway. I think cats can sense when something is wrong, so they decide to try and comfort their owners in any way that they can. What results is the owner feeling better after touching and responding to their cat.

I believe cats do have a positive energy. A lot of my friends keep on telling me that keeping a cat at home keeps the bad spirits away. :P

They release stress in humans by relaxing them. It's documented.
