Sanjaya survived--I don't think I can keep watching American Idol
March 11, 2007 11:07pm CST
Am I alone in thinking the American public has gone brain dead. How could this one have slipped by? He is a tribute to the low-charisma non-singers of our country. I think he is a nice guy and should have finished last. I'm not sure I want to keep watching if this season is going in this direction. I probably will, but it will be painful. Has anyone got any insight as to how he beat out Sundance?

I really do think that Sanjaya can sing. But I also think that he does not have the "it" factor that makes people "wow!" to his performances. I feel bored when i watch him. I hope he will be gone in the competion soon.

I think he's a little timid and he seems to have a very soft spoken manner, so asking him to "belt it out" like some of the other singers just isn't his style, though that seems to be what the judges are after. I don't think he's that bad at all, certainly not the caliber of some of the others. I think he'll probably be next to go.

I am not in america, howvever i download the show as soon as it is aired and I was shocked to say the least. I though for sure that sundance wiould be in the top 12 and that sanjaya would be the one leaving. I also think that sundance is a much greater singer and deserved to move on.

It really appears that people are voting for the wrong reasons. If a contestant is not really good compared to the others and he is getting all these votes then there are people voting for either his looks or where he comes from and this is not fair. If this continues, lets say Sanjaya is head to head (final two) with Melinda, then he could win for all the wrong reasons. Come on people the voting should be based on their singing and no other reasons.
