Because it makes me his slave...i have to buy dog food, feed him, buy shampoo and bathed him, buy vitamins for him, take him to the vet for a shot, make him a house that is comfortable for him, check for lice, clean his house everyday, check feeding time, stroll him and in exchange he will bark at stranger standing in front of your house or you will be rose from sleep and later found out he just bark to a cat passing by. Goodness!!! i would rather adopt a baby.

I think that people that have never had the love of a dog are truly missing out. Every home should have a dog or a cat. In my opinion people who don't like animals or can hurt an animal have something wrong with them.

Yes now we realize it. the dogs make us slave to them. its true. Since childhood, i love having dogs in the house and they are my constant friend, but lately as the economy get worst, even dog food become expensive, only then i realized how hard it is to tend the dog, but everytime i come home, i felt guilty of not feeding the dogs, sure they are behaving good with my command but they needed food too. So, as long as they live, i have to accept this burden. My boss is the dog ???? what a life, its funny isn't it?

getting a pet is a big responsibilty. dont get a pet because you think the puppy is cute, especially big dogs. cause once its a dog, its a different ballgame. as you have experienced you have a lot in your hands in taking care of your pet. if you think caring for the pet is becoming a burden and the dog is no longer being cared for, better have the dog adopted by someone who will be able to care for him. i know it sounds a bit harsh, but rather than being a burden and dog being sad, its better that you let the dog go to another home.

There isn't a person in this world who will ever love you as much as your dog does. There will even be a day when your kids will turn their back on you and think your ridicules but your dog will still think that the sun shines out your butt. I feel sorry for your dog that you don't see or feel what it means to own a dog. You can have bad breathe, gain 100lbs, fart in your sleep, whatever. Your dog doesn't care. He lives his life for you. To him you are the greatest thing he's ever come across.

Do you not see any good in owning your dog. How about the fact that he worships the ground you walk on. Yeah it may seem like they are the master sometimes. They get to lounge around the house all day while you have to go to work to have money to feed them. But I wouldn't trade any of my dogs for the world. I am the apple of their eye . There are not that many people that will come along in your life that will love you that unconditionaly. Even children turn a certain age and want to be as far away from you as possible. Your dog would never treat you like that. They are the most loyal, loving creatures I know. You can even be mean to them and they are willing to forgive you instantly. I like my dogs more than I like most people. They are my family and they are very important to me.
