I think it would be great to start some kind of "hand me down" ring or toy and book exchange. Some thing along the lines of paying a membership fee and being able to participate in a free exchange as if we were neighbors or friends. All i come up with are auction and trading sights. Do you know if there is such a club? Or how would some one start this?

There is something called freecycle which I'm not sure is international or not,but people give away things which are still of good use but they just don't need or want them anymore. This is the address http://www.freecycle.org, I know they do uk, germany and france but I don't know where else they do.

I do think that this is a very good idea, but it would take some time and effort getting it organized and put together properly. I think a good plan would also to be able to donate part of the membership fee to a kids organazation as well to help out sick kids.

that is a great idea. i've never heard of anything like that here in canada but it would be great for someone to start that. it would be so helpful and it just makes sense so i'm not sure why it hasn't happened yet. i'd have no idea how to start it. it would have to be started in your town (if you start) and then involve your neighbourhood and grow from there.

yeppers that was my thought starting local and spiraling out. I just am really computer illiterate and i'm not sure how to set that up. i would rather just find one i think too hard to do on my own? (i hate to say that i like to do whatever my ideas take)
