Affairs with students

i think this is a grave offence that needs a very stiff penalty. i once knew of a teacher who got his pupil impregnanted at age 10. another one who was a prmary school teacher assigned to primary six pupils (ages 9 - 12) bed almost every girl-child that pass through his class every year until he was retired involuntarily. these are men who call themselves fathers and have daughters too!

First off, I just think this is CREEPY. I teach 6th graders and they are CHILDREN in my eyes, as they should be in everyone elses eyes. The mere thought of anyone my age (I'm 22) or older wanting to have anything but a parent/child type relationship with them is repulsive. I think these teachers should get real jail time for this...it is no different than anyone else doing it who is not a teacher. However, I also think there should be a thorough investigation of the case. A lot of parents (money grubbing ones, no doubt), sometimes coax things out of their kids and get their kids to twist stories to make teachers look bad. Say, I gave one of my students a hug, which I often do if they are upset, or if they did really well on something (never a frontal hug, always a side hug with a small pat on the UPPER back), and the student went home and told his/her parent that I hugged them...the parent could easily turn that into something horrible and convince their child that it was something horrible, which would get me in HUGE legal and professional trouble...and all it was originally was a simply encouraging pat on the back.

I honestly think there are more male teachers guilty of this than female teachers just because of the fact that it seems men are often more attracted to younger "women" while women tend to prefer their own age or older men. I do think the female teacher cases have gotten more publisity because of the fact they are not as common. And yes, I think young men "getting the teacher" will tend to brag to his buddies more than girls would.

I think that male and female students at one point in time have ahad a crush or fantasy on a teacher. It is how far we decide to take it that becomes a problem. I think that there are fewer women cases after the whole Mary-Kate Louteurno (probably not spelled right) incidents. I am not so sure what is going with teachers today. There are so many factors that could play a part in each individual occurance.
