Is you profile safe for other users? Can we all remember about “kiss” principle?

It happens to me today. I was checking someone’s profile and suddenly I was redirected to different site.
My computer closed all applications. I was shocked and mad.
Very often, when visiting other profiles, I get warning from my computer that site (profile) is not safe.
What is going on?

I've never had that happen to me, luckily. Will myLot put a stop to that? I hope they will check into it.

In my short time on myLot, about two months, I've had that warning twice, and I follow the warning and don't go any further. I also wondered what caused the warning, but after losing everything on my hard disc some years ago I won't take any risks. Maybe the administrators can enlighten us.

Today I didn't have any warnings, just quick redirection and even quicker shot by windows.

it havent happend to me yet, but maybe you should post a discussion with their porfile and say people beware too, that way it would help everyone out right away not to go there before mylot can help clean it out

I just check this profile again. It is done by friend comment. I am going to sent ot to mylot.

you can message all your friends but that si alot of work, but you can copy and paste

well there are alote of cases that the users of that website redirect you themself to another site- with a simple html command.
but the other windows are not supposed to close
it looks like some kind of virus or spyware that got your computer
i advice you to run a scan- just to be safe..

I don't visit anyones profile unless they have a score over at least 500. At least that way you know they have been around for a while.
I think it is just asking for trouble it you accept friends who have a very low rating or visit a profile of the same type of person.
make people earn your trust first..

Don’t be surprised. Profile I am talking about belongs to someone with star rate 10.

I have been here for 4 months and I open 50 different profiles a day. I have never had this warning. I have programs that would warn me if something was wrong. I use AM browser which is in my opinion better than firefox, it never has these kind of problems.

It is not only about warning, I was suddenly link to different site...it happens twice during last few days, only when I was looking into user profiles.

well in away I think the same thing happened to me but I was tring to come in and pespond to some one and all of a sudden my account was gone no matter how many times I put in my info to sign it it wouldnt take so I rebooted could this be about the same thing?

It is not the same. Once I open user profile, something was installed on this user to link me with different site.

I've never had this happen .. either here in MyLot or indeed on any other web site where you can view folks profiles ..
I would think it might be an idea to let MyLot know what happened as it could be that the persons profile page has been 'attacked' by someone to make visitors go to their own 'off MyLot' web site ...

Something similar happened to me yesterday, but it just shut down firefox. I don't know what was in the profile, but it did cause a problem.
I have a Mac, not windows so my guess is whtever else was supposed to happen did not happen, and I will bet that if I was using Safari (the APple browser) nothing would have happened at all.

I don't visit many profile, but I do when people send me friend request. I was also doing it today, because I was cleaning my friends list.

I use Firefox on a Mac too and have never had any problems caused by Mylot, as far as I know. But I also don't visit too many profiles. And it sounds like most of the problems are with Windows machines. I'd hope Mylot would have some way to automatically scan the system for malicious code or problem stuff added to profiles.

that's strange I never had that before, but yes I am hardly here and hardly open any profile. I thought the profile is mylot page so how is it that they installed something like that?? maybe in the About Me section.
I hope you have anti virus or something, that kind of site who doesn't allow other windows open sounds like spywared

Yes, they may have something on about me section. I do have anti virus, that's why computer closed all applications...
Maybe it was on friends comment section...

oh goodness! i hope i didn't get the same comment LOL already someone else told me that she also had to report someone to mylot because this person sent her some pictures she didnt like
