Is your husband helpful with the household chores?

My husband empties the dishwasher when I ask him to do it, and usually with an attituted. I have known the man for 4years and I have never, ever, once seen him scrub the toilet, dust or scoop the litter box. He has vacuumed a few times, and that is when I ask him to, and when we are having company or something. So I let it go, but it still irritates me.

My husband does everything half way. I think I'v been lucky. I think it's also because I don't care much about how messy it is and he does. I clean for him, and he cleans because he can't stand mess.

On the weekends, my husband scoops and empties the litter box, vacuums the rugs before company comes, dusts, washes dishes occasionally and empties the clothes dryer and folds or hangs up the clothes. He even takes a stab at cooking once in a while and of course empties the trash. Now we have a homemaker come in Monday thru Friday to do the bathroom, laundry, mopping, heavy cleaning in all the rooms since I am disabled. But he does his part when she is not here.

Well I can tell you my husband has never cleaned a toilet. He does the litter box sometimes and the rabbits cage once in a while. He washes the floors sometimes to help me out. If I hint at the dishes enough he will do them. He always cuts up the veggies for suppers on the weekends. I don't like to get on his case too much cause he works labour work 44 hours a week and he has a 3 hour commute a day.

My fiancee is getting pretty good at cleaning. It took a few arguements. We just don't see the same dirt, it seems.

If he lived alone and could not afford someone to come in to do these things he would have to do it himself. He should be helping out around the house.

I am husband, I do the dishes when my wife does some extensive cooking and also help to clear the kitchen. I can cook, that is my share in the kitchen. I usually do the marketing and other small chores Any heavy work is mine, whether I like it or not.. Ha Ha

I have the world's BEST husband/boyfriend. If he sees me bogged down with housework, he'll offer. If I ask, he'll do. His regular chores include cat litter patrol, tub cleaning, snow removal, trash, and dusting. I have the best!
