Face is the one part of our body of which we all like to take some special care. Cleaning is very important for our face. I wonder what is the effective way of cleaning our face so that we can get a very nice shining skin. I know some people are very careful about this subject and they do a lot of work on it. Personally I use a good face wash to clean my face. No other special care for me. What do you do to clean your face effectively?

I have a very strict regimen for my skin. I follow the basics of skin care..CTM ie Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize. I was an Avon Beauty representative before and had learnt CTM long before but had never actually followed it. I started doing it last October and since then my skin has cleared up a lot and the results are definitely showing. I have an oily skin and it is difficult to keep it oil-free all the time but I realized with the right care it is possible to minimize the oil. I cleanse with an oil-free cleanser(face wash), then I use a good astringent(toner) and top it with an oil-free moisturizer. I have two of these, one for day and one for night. I know all this sounds elaborate but actually it isn't. Taking good care of our skin is very important. Not only outside but from within as well. I watch what I eat and drink plenty of water. I also moisturise my entire body right after a shower.Helps absorb the moisturizer immediately and you are left with a smooth silky skin. I do all this everyday without fail. In the long run it is sure to help:)

Good for you that you are doing it in regular basis strictly. I am not so strict with my habits of this kind. I always think to be regular but can't stick to it.

Yes you should marmo, in the long run it will help. There was a 70 yr old lady on Oprah once, and she looked she was 30 or 35, would you believe that and when Oprah asked what her secret was she had only three words "Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!" ;o) And sweetlady I was like you too before, but then decided this was the best for my skin. Once you start doing it, the difference is amazing and you won't feel like going back to your old routine.

I take great pride in my skincare regime every day. Each morning I use all of Estee Lauder products. In the morning I use Splash away foaming cleanser, followed Perfectionist CP+ and then by Future Perfect eye cream and moisturizer. In the evening it's the same exact thing. Every Sunday for me is Spa day in my bathroom. It's my exfoliant day! Exfoliating is a very important part of skin care that most women do not do. It is needed to remove impurities from your skin! Since I have been exfoliating... (about 4 years now) I have noticed a dramatic difference in the look and feel of my skin. And I always get compliments on my complexion. I'm 39 and most women do not believe it. :)

I love exfoliating .. it's one of my pleasures in life .. I can't believe how much softer my skin is and how 'nice' it feels ... it's like taking off a stiff and starchy shirt and being able to relax in a soft cashmere jumper .. makes you feel soooooo good ....

Your are so right about that. I wash my face in the morning and the evening and once every couple of weeks I use a facial mask. Its like a mudd mask. But I dont do anything special either.

It is amazing that only water works that well in your skin.

I use a facial cleanser and then I use a toner. I go to the beautician for a face and neck massage every four to six weeks. It is amazing how different my skin feels when she is finished and I feel that I even look younger. It can be a little expensive but I feel I am entitled to a little pampering every now and again.

Your question is interesting because several months ago I asked a friend what she uses on her face and she recommended me Nivea coz thats what she uses. Anyway, I have oily skin and prone to breakouts but that time I wasnt having problems with any pimples just that my face was darker than the rest of my body. I tried using Nivea whitening products and got more problems than I started out. What I learned, every person has different type of skin so if one person works well with whatever she uses doesn't necessarily would work with you. Had to learn it the hard way. yikes.

I just wipe my face with a wet wash cloth every morning and night. Might not be the best method, but I have had fewer (or at the very least the same amount of) blemishes since switching from face wash.

I am very particular about cleansing my face. I use a good cleansing cream daily. I gently massage the cream into my skin before using lukewarm water to wash it all off. Cleaning once in the morning and another time at night. No scrubbing or polishing for me because I feel that is much too abrasive for my sensitive skin. Then once a week, I steam my skin to open the pores before using a clay mask to deep cleanse the pores.

i do the regular face wash thing morning and night but about every two weeks i make loose mask of baking soda and water, spread it evenly onto my face, let it dry for a moment then wash off with a soft cloth. it is a natural way to exfoliate and my face feels very soft and smooth afterwards.

I have to use utlra sensitive wash. I prefer to use oil of olay or dove wash clothes, but the sensitive skin formula. Then I use the lotion and on top I use another one call Purpose for the redness and sunscreen 30.

I think that best way to keep clean ur face is to wash it with warm water 2-3 times a day with a good soap, or if u have some problem with ur face then use a medical soap.

I use these little pads that are clean and clear or something like that. They work pretty well i just do them every so often keep my face pretty nice and smooth. But ive also used creams and all that stuff, lotion? but the best is just washin your face with soap and rinsing it.. the original hahah.

Good discussion. I use neutrogena skin cleanser - it was recommended to me by my skin doctor. Nothing else daily, but weekly I use Swiss Almond Scrub while in the bath. If I use anything else, I always develop pimples. Also, if I deviate from the routine in any way, like - missing my facial scrub, I get pimples, too. Moisturizers are nice, but I cannot use them without risking an outbreak. Amazing, eh?

Good ole soap and water. Am pretty basic and since I drink plenty of water I am doing ok. Don't wear make up so don't really need a harsh cleanser either. Ivory soap is my favorite. I also drink plenty of water to keep my skin and me hydrated.

I try to take the best care of my face becaue I am outside alot and my poor face takes a beating exposed to the elements like that all day. I use the Arbonne International skin care line. It is totally vegan, is water based and uses the least amount of chemical than most other products cheap or expensive.

Same here. I just squeeze a bit of the facial wash and clean my face with it. I will do it once in the morning after I wake, and another time during my shower. In between if my face gets oily, I just rinse it with water.
