Well, since I collect comics and have been for 30 yrs now, my favourite character changes frim time to time. I liked Superman when I was a kid but have little time for him these days. There's not much left to explore with him. The darker heroes like Wolverine, the punisher and Batman have so much more to offer and so much more potential through their damaged psyche. Having said all that my favourite hero is Green Arrow. Another complex character that, from time to time, leans towards the dark side.

I have been collecting comics now off and on for thirty years now. Over the years my tastes in comics have gone from the costumed super heros such as Spiderman to the sort of dark more human characters like John Constantine. I would have to say my favorites at this time will always be Spiderman, because under the mask he could be anyone. He struggles day to day with real issues just like anyone else. I mean come on, a hero who struggles to pay his rent.... gets his but handed to him more often than not and at the end of the day is still a wise @#$# and hasn't let the people he fights turn him into one of them. To me that's not only a good hero but an icon. The JLA are next on my list, as they, when written properly represent so much of an amalgamation of all the worlds myths and legends. Last but not least John Constantine and this is simply because he's very clever at getting out of bad situations, sometimes with horrendous consequences, and sometimes not.

Well I've always had a weakness for The Dark Knight, better known as Batman. I loved the stories they did of him from his dark beginning to when he met Robin and so on. He goes out without super powers and fights the bad guys. He puts it all on the line, more then many of the other super heroes. I think that's one reason why I really like him above the rest. He can be hurt or killed. He has only his own stregnth and ingenuity to go on, where as most of the others have super powers to help them out. He is all human.

Well, I am a big Marvel Comics fan and X-Men fan, so I love Beast, Rogue, and Phoenix for sure, but I also love Deadpool, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Captain America (rest in peace), Iron Man, and She-Hulk. For DC Comics, I love Batman, Ion, Hawkgirl, and Catwoman. For Dark Horse, I love Hellboy.

i don't collect and read comic books, but i would say my favorite is batman and superman. i love batman because he is purely human and uses his wealth and power to buy high tech stuff he can use in saving gotham. i love superman because he is super man! he can do everything that a normal man can't do! he can fly, he's faster than a speeding bullet, and very strong!

I would have to say that my absolute favorite is Batman. To me, he's the best for a couple of reasons. 1) He has no super power, no super human ability. So, he relies on his wit, regular human strength that he must work for (like the rest of us, lol), his intelligence, his ingenuity, and the help he's able to receive. He could be any human being, any one of us. 2) He walks a fine line between "good" and "bad", like Dare Devil. He's almost the anti-hero. He's saving lives and protecting the good citizens of Gotham, but he's also breaking the law, becoming a vigilante. 3) He's motive is true, it's very human. He's been wronged, having had his parents killed in front of him. This trauma could drive any human being to seek revenge and justice. Most important point ~ he could be you, he could be me, he could be anyone. He is not an alien, a super-human, a mutant... He isn't "special", he's just a quick-thinking human who's great with technical invention and using his "toys".
