How do I change a discussion topic?

I asked a question about how to get my cats to stop fighting and I haven't had any responses. This is something I could really use advice on. I was thinking that maybe if I changed the topic of discussion, more people may see it and could offer advice. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

There is no way to edit your discussion once it is posted. Once it's up there it's up there and nothing you can do can change it. That's why it's very important to read over it first, make sure you have it in the right interest area, and that you have it just the way you want before hitting submit. I wish there was a way to edit such things as well but so far they don't allow it.

As you can't modify any posts on Mylot so that isn't possible ,but using new tags could be one way and reposting the topic with a better title could be the other.Your discussion shows on the front page for few minutes before it moves to the next page. So, having more friends will provide your discussion more exposure and increase the chances of getting more responses.

I couldn't give you answer about your cats but im sure alot of other members can.I have seen plenty of discussions on cats. You can go to interest and start it in that category if people have pets that could be there interest.I see that you are new and what i would do is make friends with active members.Make sure you tag your discussions to.

Thank you, disvachic! And thank you for adding me to your friends list! :D I'm learning, also, that what tags I use makes a difference.

You can't change the topic. You can just ask it a different way in another discussion. It is hard to get recognized since we are so BIG now. Your page is only up for a second then it is buried by other new discussions. It is best to build a good strong friend list that will support your discussions while you support theirs.

Thank you for the advice! I didn't know if opening the topic again with different descriptors would be considered cheating. I certainly don't want to cause any trouble, but I would really like advice on this matter! Thank you very much!!
