i once read an article about the band "warrant". and this was the only line i remembered: "so much hair spray, so little talent". and i really wonder why... i find this really crazy... and amazing at the same time... do you guys know the song "heaven" by warrant? its been a huge favorite of mine since 1996. me and my friends are avid guitar players. though we don't really play as in professionaly. its more of playing just for the heck of it, and for the love of playing the guitar. one of my friends showed me a tab of the song "heaven" and asked me if i heard of it. of course, i said "no". and thats because i didn't even know the band "warrant". he then told me he heard it a few times and played it with the guitar. i didn't really appreciate the rhythm of the song. but understanding the message of the song, i immediately loved it. i started reading the tablature and started playing the song. and to think i haven't even heard the real song. and then one lousy afternoon in 2001, as i was browsing channels on cable, i didn't really know why.. but when i passed by the MTV channel, my finger pressed the back button so i got back to mtv. exactly when a particular song was starting. it started a little dark and blue. then this huge close up of the vocalist came up the screen. and hearing the first stanza of the song, i had goosebumps all over. i felt like i was struck by lightning. i dropped the remote, my jaw fell in awe. "oh my God!!!" (with matching popping eyes!) i said to myself. "i know this song!". and that was the very first time i actually heard "heaven". and until now, i still don't know why the heck my finger pressed the back button. and i still love that song. hahaha...

haha.. yer welcome. reading tabs is not that hard. let me visualize for you... in a tablature, you notice there are several lines, grouped in 6. each one of those lines represent a string. topmost line is string #1(lead), and goes on to 6th line which is the 6th string(base). the numbers on each line represent the bar position. 5 means you put a finger on the 5th bar on that string. thats the basics you'll need for now. i'll try to teach you when i come to manila. c',)

It's a good song but not their best. Try "Ode to Tipper Gore" or "Uncle Tom's Cabin". You gotta listen to multiple Warrant songs before you make any kind of decision about the music. They were good in their day. Too much hair and make-up for my kids.

hahaha.. maybe its their timing that makes you not like their singing. c",) i noticed they lacked timing in their songs. but you are right on the message part, they're good.
