Yeah, I know...hide and seek is very popular especially to kids who don't have anything to do but have fun...I for one have been an "it" a lot of times during our "hide and seek" games before...and that was really fun, especially when we go to the small forest not too far from our house together with my cousins and friends... that was one of the childhood memories I miss.. but would you believe that our landlord with his wife who are both at their early 30s are still playing hide and seek with their nephews and niece? I was amazed when I woke up earlier today only to see my landlord playing as the "it" and his girlfriend and nephews and niece looking for potential hiding spot... their house is pretty big actually and they really enjoyed their game...cool!!!:P how do you find hide and seek as a form of recreation? when was the last time you played this game?:P

I'm 26 years old and I still play it all the time with my 3 children. That's one of their favorite games. Was mine too when I was a child. I used to play it with my brother and sister but he would be "the monster". Made it even more fun that way:)

Oh I think that the landlord and his girlfriend must enjoy these games and while we can still play games it is good to keep us young at heart. But for myself I would feel strange to play it these day I think that the last time I played hide and seek would of been around 20 years ago. I do not think that it is a good form of recreation for adults unless they are just trying to make their children happy and the child is in a one child home.

I actually played hide and seek last night with my daughter and my two nephews. I love playing with them. It was kind of hard for me to find a good hiding spot since I'm 6 feet and three inches tall. Besides I think this game encourages them to use their imagination to be able to find a good hiding spot. It's also better than letting them watch TV all day long!

I last played hide and seek in December! Right around Christmas time- I live in NY so yes it was snowy and cold! Whenever my brother and family come back to NY it's a tradition with us.. My brother, his wife, his 2 daughters, 1 son, my sig. other, me and my daughter-- we play-- In the DARK! Always.. We own 5+ acres of land-- so we call boundaries and we put the outside light on- But it gets pretty scary when you are out of the light- No flashlights... It is so much fun- We usually play til 3 in the morning... It's something I know my daughter and my nieces and nephew will remember forever- My brother gets a little crazy and hides on the roofs- LOL...

I haven't played this game in forever! I used to love it. Myself and my sister along with a huge group of friends used to play it on a regular basis around our housing estate that was still being built. There was the added excitement of the possibility of being found by the security guard who then turfed us out of whatever house foundation we happened to be hiding in. He quickly got used to our antics though and we never got into trouble. Besides which, there wasn't really all that much that could damage or hurt us. My kids play it now with their friends in the apartment complex. They've been told off by a couple of people for running in the halls, at which point they go outside to the kids playground which is almost outside our window so I can keep an eye on them. I haven't played this with my kids for a good few years. They say I'm "too old" to play with them. I'm not even 30 yet! LOL

I think hide and seek can always be a really great form of recreation. I mean, you're using your brain a bit, running out and exercising, just having good old fun! Sure, crosswords and books and such can probably use the brain power a bit more, lol... but hide and seek can sure still be fun:)

I dont know when was the last time I have played this game. I used to play a lot with my friends or cousins either at my home or my neighbour home or in the alley which was just in fromt of my house. I really used to enjoy it. And after reading your discussion I am really remembering those days which was full of fun. I will play hide n seek with my children. LOL

Aww that is so sweet, I would love to play hide and seek now too. I don't even remember the last time I played because its been ages! It is such a fun game. A few of my friends' kids play outside every evening here and once they were playing this game. There was one little girl who is only 2 and she didn't know what was happening. The others were older than her. Instead of hiding she would count along with other one..it was so funny..hehe! Kids, they are such bliss..:)

I dont se anything with grown ups playing hide and seek with children. It can be fun for everyone. I would play it if I had little children around. I never did like to be it though. lol

I played it a lot when I was little. I had a big yard, where there was a lot of places where to hide and it was always really exciting. We made the game even more exciting with that you had to catch someone,it didnt only help if you had seen him/her. These times were great times, miss them:)

I do still play this with my niece and nephew (I am 26) and I will be playing with my son soon enough. We play a version he can play now (he's 1). But my most memorable experience playing would be when I was at work. I worked in a small retail store and it was really bad out, so there were no customers in the store. My manager got on the intercom and said "We're going to play hide and seek, go find a hiding spot." So we did. The cashier kept an eye out for customers, but none came and we had a blast playing in the store for an hour.

wow. i think the last time i got to play this game was 8 or 10 years ago when i was still a kid. i'm 20 now and since i entered highschool we (my friends and i) stopped playing this game. i remember me and my cousins playing hide and seek in our grandma house. it's a big house too so we got to play hide and seek. there are lot of places where we can hide and then run when the "it" don't saw us. it was full of fun and excitment. owww, i miss my childhood. i wish we can play this game again even we are all adults now. :)
