Do you ever feel like life just is not fair? Thats the way I am feeling tonight, sometimes it just feels like everything always happens all at once, and I get frusterated trying to fix everything That is when I really wish I had friends that I could talk too. Anyway, I keep telling myself that things will get better one of these days, but so far that day is lost in the future some place. Anyway, how do you help yourself feel better when you have one major problem after another coming at you. over and over again?????

My husband lost his job the Wednesday before Christmas lasy year. Our son was just 9 months at the time, and our car was going to get reposessed. To top it all off, I might have cancer and there is something wrong with my heart. Now we are without insurance, and we had to move out of state and into my fathers house. My husband is getting a better job than he had before and we might even be able to buy a house. The only way I could make it through all of that was to realize that I had everything I needed with me: my husband, my son, and the support of my family. I just told myself that everytime a door closes, a window opens. It took a while for that window to open, but when it did it opened wide. I find that talking with friends and family does help. I hope that everything gets better for you, believe me, I know that life is not easy. Should you need a friend, you can talk to me if you feel comfortable. Best wishes!

I hope that things get much better for you soon, and that you don''t have cancer, I do feel bad a lot sometimes even when I am trying not too because I know I should be thankful so I meed to be thankful things are not worse than they are, Thanks for the reminder, I should not be so whinny..

It's not being whiny...you're just overly aware of the things going on in your life. Just try to keep your chin up. Remember: We are never given more than we can handle. Live by that, and things might not look so bad.

I feel that way quite often. Especially with things with my son, whom has CP. I just try to see the good in things and try to do what I can to make things better. Try to keep your head up. I know what you mean about friends, we don't have many either, but I do have one or two that I talk to but they can't always be there. I also have my mom, who understands very well, but I am always afraid of making her upset too.

I know cp can be hard my uncle has it and his son, also his wife has a disability due to an accident she had many years ago. I think that its harder in many ways for people who live with or have children with cp but they can do as well or better than people who just don't even try. My uncle and his family they try a lot and even have several businesses that they are working on, I see people like my uncle who really do have disabilities and are trying and it gets frusterating to see people who just don't even want to improve their lives. But it is harder for some than others I think. Anyway its good you at least have someone you can talk to.

I was at that position many times. I would cry my eyes out. I would tell myself that it is not the end of the world. There'll be people who are worst off than us. Just keep believing that there will be a better tomorrow. I am still waiting for that moment and have not given up hope. We just have to create opportunities for ourselves rather than wait for it to happen. Just live one day at a time... Don't think too much... When we are at peace with ourselves, we tend to think clearly and things might just brighten up!! Good Luck and be patience!

Thanks you are very encouraging, I think thinking about the problems is what is causing a lot of stress for me., it just is not good.. I need to remember that there are many worse off than we are, and like I tell my kids and others "well at least we have a place to live today we may not tommorrow."

I think the problem lays in the fact that most people think life should be fair, but in reality it is not. They wonder why me, why now. For the most part we just have to accept life for what it is and suck it up when it really isn't fair. And move on. what else can we do
