For those in the Philippines, which is the best mobile network: Smart or Globe?

They are the 2 giants in the mobile network business in the country. Talk 'N Txt is under Smart Network and Touch Mobile is under Globe Network. And then there is Sun Cellular which also can be comparable with the 2. Which one do you prefer using and why?

definitely smart. I used to think it was globe but their service is going to the dump BIG TIME!! I mean, there was a time that they were the only network to consider if you're going to buy a mobile phone but what the F**K are they thinking? First off, their gprs browsing used to be free and now they're charging by the kilobyte whilst smart is only charging P10 per 30 minutes. Then they had this unlimitxt going but they had to increase their price and introduce this P15 text all you can---ONLY IN THE DAYTIME???!!! Man, their service sucks so bad that I don't even bother to find out what are their "NEW OFFERS". As for their postpaid services, smart offers lower handset prices and has a retention plan for loyal subscribers, Globe couldn't even top that. The only service I liked with GLobe and the only reason why I'm keeping my Globe prepaid sim is their 10 cents per second calls and the fact that postpaid subsribers can monitor their usage realtime online. So in conclusion...Globe just plain SUCKS! ;)

thanks for sharing us your opinion. as for me, the main simcard i use now is smart. but i have been having thoughts of switching to globe because smart is giving me bad time lately. but since i heard your views i am now hesitant to do so and rather stay with smart. i also have a globe sim which i only use for international calls and textx for it's cheaper than smart. Globe international texts cost only P10 per 160 char messages, whereas for smart it's P15.

Right from the start I got my first cellphone I got my Smart number and since then I enjoy the services they provided. Plus I like the way they promote there company by giving lots of incentives to its users. If will be in a situation where my number lost I will still get a smart number since most of my friends are in that brand lplus the good service.

I have a sun cellular sim at the moment. And i am using it until now, my signal is okay, i have had this sim for years, but i also have a globe sim which i use more often because i havent got a lot of friends that has a sun sim. I use it normally to text and call my gf. I like globe because of their fbt.

I've been a using smart eversince I had my cellphone, and even bought a globe sim but couldn't hang on much to it. I think smart was the pioneer in providing communications to most of the cellphone users here in the philippines, so I guess that they do have the best facilities in accomodating all their subscribers. I think they provide better benefits to most of their subscribers, as they also do their best to give their very best in it.

My main cellular phone is Globe which I've been using for a long time already. I've been wanting to shift to Sun Cellular since they have this nice offer of 3 phones for only 999pesos per month, with unlimited call and text within their network. However, what makes me hesitant is the fact that I have to change numbers yet again. I'm still thinking about it, though.

he problem with sun cellular is the limitations of their network range. i also have a sun simcard but i only use it on rare occassions when i have to call my father and talk with him for a long time. sun however has the cheapest deals on phones, calls and texts. but it doesn't have reliable network signal especialy if you are situated in an enclosed space or at the basement of your house or any buildings/establishments. thanks you for sharing us your thoughts, ethanmama.

I have been using globe for more or less 10 years, everybody has my # so changing to Smart is not a good option though Smart is cheaper.

I'm using globe for my cellphone. I've been using this for for a couple of years now and I don't have any problem with it it's just that I hate their unlimited txt promo lately. It's more expensive than smart.

But now that we communicate thru yahoo and skype *been lucky to cut costs lol!!* I was now using smart because lots of my friends are smart users as in no choice lol!!! I think smart is great mobile network even my broadband connection is smart too!!!

I'd go for Smart for I've been using it since my first GSM phone. And upto this point, I have very rare complaint in it's service. Network coverage is very good, rates are very competetive and post sales service people are also generous.
