I want my daughter to develop a taste for vegetables and enjoy eating them. The only vegetables I have given her so far are potatoes and squash. How can i get him to love vegetables?

I don't know if you can get a child to LOVE vegetables but my daughter eats everything, i have given her heads of cauliflour & brocoli which she eats happily, try mushing them in to her potato, as well as sweet potato, carrot & if it's all in the mush, then she'll eat it - if she's happy to eat the potato!

Try to serve them one at the time and encourage her to try a different one every night. If they see you eat them and like them they will usually try them themselves. My children will eat thier vegtables before they eat thier meat or starches.

You can't make someone love the taste of a certain food. You don't do you? So I would not expect your child to either. There are tricks to get your kids to eat vegetables if they don't like them, such as ranch dressing for dipping, or adding a little bit of sugar. My grandkids love greenbeans, but that is the only veggie they will eat cooked. They do like raw veggies but not all of them. Carrotts are my grandaughters favorite while my grandson like cauliflour. But they will eat any veggie if it has ranch beside it.

Mainly as long as you love them she will and be creative with them, like carrots are nice but they are even nicer when they are boiled and then mashed with a bit of butter. You can also vary the vegitables tht you have, for example sweetcorn is lovely and such fun when eaten on the cob. Creative ways to get your kids to eat more vegetables can include camouflaging them in with other foods, like chopping up and mixing vegetables in with pasta sauces, lasagna, casseroles, soup, chili, omelets, etc. or adding veggie toppings to pizza. You can even find recipes for things like, carrot beef meatballs or zucchini cookies, that your kids might enjoy. It might also help to: * offer chopped veggies with a dip, like ranch dressing * serve vegetables as a stir-fry * let your child help prepare the meal * start a vegetable garden at home so your kids can eat the vegetables they grow or visit a farm or farmer's market.

If you start feeding your child good foods and healthy foods right from the start, like you are doing, they will have better eating habits. Just don't buy junk, over-processed and food without good nutrition. As he gets older, you can let him help you in the kitchen which will also foster an appreciation for healthy food. Or plant a garden together.
