Current big scandal in Washington is President Bush firing of 8 U.S. Attorneys. The media calls this a big scandal. Clinton, in his first term fired every U.S. Attorney but 1. The 1 not fired was a Dem. The 98 that were fired were all Republicans. Probably nothing political about that, huh? Bush - 8 = big scandal Clinton - 98 = no big deal Anyone see a problem here?

I mentioned this in another thread earlier. Its ridiculous how unfair the expectations and reporting is. Its just sad that the media make it so hard to get an honest story and work so hard to instead forcd their rhetoric on the viewers wihtout them knowing any better.

That's why some people watch out for or will watch only certain media networks or news channels. Usually people won't know something's up until the media reports it. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing or a good thing but it happens. I saw that when the war started. A couple friends would tell me how they didn't show stuff here of the war that other international channels did show, especially from the region. They'd mention how the US media would censor or leave out civilians and babies having been killed but they'd see it on Al Jazeera.

I am so sick of the media and everyone else who just can't get off the Bush bashing wagon. While I might not agree 100% with the man, he is our president, and that being said, if it weren't for him and other presidents like him, the USA would probably be a big pile of ashes by now. The media and all these complainers enjoy that right and freedom to run their mouths and voice their opinions because of the type of country we live in. My husband is Cuban and ask him if someone was to go on TV in Cuba and belittle our talk trash about Fidel Castro, what would happen to them !! I see a HUGE problem, and if it doesn't change soon, we are all in for a very rude awakening.

I don't think that's a problem.....on the contrary! Not speaking with personal bias....yes, I see how that could be a problem but people do it all the time, it's nothing new. In cases like this, i think the worth of the people involved matters. 1 person who protects people is worth more than 10 people who do nothing but attack people, IMAO. Therefore, I'd pay more attention to the 1 person and don't worry about the other 10.
