Do people stop responding . . .

to posts once a best response has been chosen? I was just wondering how many people lose interest once their chance of getting rated "best response" is gone. Do you still respond to a topic of interest to you, even though a best response has been chosen? Or do you simply move on and post to those posts where you still have a chance of getting "best response?" I prefer content over "contest" and will still respond to a post, even after "best response" is chosen if the topic is an interesting one. What's your opinion?

Thanks, Pal! I think it makes a discussion more interesting to have several points-of-view. It's nice to have a forum in which you can express yourself, isn't it?

I respond even if "best response" has already been chosen. If I find the topic interesting and feel that I can still add something worthwhile to the discussion, then I will reply. To me it is about the discussions themselves, not about being chosen. I think some the best discussions often occur after best response is picked. Just my opinon.

Yes, I agree! It's nice to know people are motivated altruistically and not by money! Thank you!

Yeah, me, too. I'm not here for the money but for the interesting discussions posted. I hope my responses are thoughtful and helpful.

Like you, I also post comment or response to a discussion even if a 'best response' has already been awarded. If the topic is an interesting one for me or if I want to share my own point of view, I still post my response to that topic or querry. We all have different opinion and ideas here therefore we respond to the topic based on how we analyzed it.

Definitely! It's the diversity of opinions that make discussions so interesting! I was just curious about how many people are motivated by making money versus contributing to an interesting topic. Thanks! :D
