Did you hear about this story? A Canadian woman had her two young daughters abducted by her ex-husband, and taken to Lebanon. He was Australian born. What followed was a harrowing mission for the Mother, who hired ex-commandoes to rescue her daughters from the clutches of her unstable ex. With the Mothers help, they went right in Lebabnon, a war torn country, and snatched the children away. The Mother went into hiding, then crossed the Syrian border, & eventually made her way to Canada. Wrre the best interests of the children being served, by the Father? By the Canadian Government, and even the Auastralian Government? I think not.

That reminds me of a really good movie with Sally Fields called "Not Without my Daughter". She went to Iran to get her daughter back after her Iranian husband took their daughter on a so-called visit. It was very good.

I remember that movie quite well. It was a true story I believe.

We women have to stop having relationships with these men with passports. They have the opportunity to take the kids we freely have. The rules become sticky when different countries and their beliefs are involved. We should really stick our own native born men. Even then pick carefully.

It must have been a terrifying for the children to be in this situation. Why would a father do that to a child? I think the mother was courageous to do what she did to get her children back.

This is a very sad situation for these children. I can understand the mother wanting to get her children back with her, I might be tempted to do the same thing but the fear those children must have gone through. As a young child I was abducted by my father and taken to another state. I didn't understand what was going on and didn't see much of my family for many many years. I grew up not knowing my natural mother because of this. It's something that will stick with those children all their lives.
