she asked to paint this morning so i set it all up then i started my housework. then she yelled out to the other room "mom do i have to take a bath after" she really loves taking baths, i said no cause you don't get all dirty anymore when you paint. then 2 minutes later i hear "mom i'm all dirty i painted myself" she did it on purpose to take a bath.

ROFL. I find that a very clever and very intelligent 'if/then' thinking. She is going to be a child that learns very quickly when she begins school. She was able to use deductive reasoning and figure out a way to get a bath. A form of critical thinking is what she used. Books are written about how to teach critical thinking, and those of us who teach bang our heads against the wall trying to get students to critically think!! Your daughter is doing it already!!! Be glad. It may keep you on your toes now, but it will pay off later!

i'm not upset about it at all, i just smiled at her cause i know it was very smart of her. it wsan't a big deal to clean her up and it made her happy to get a bath this morning. as long as she's happy and i don't have to rush out for anything today and we have the time then it's all good.

Oh my god that is so funny. She just wants to take a bath and that is great that she likes bath time. I am sorry that she made extra work for you to clean up but you just have to smile when you look at that cute dirty kid. Did you take a picture? That would have been really funny to see.

no i didn't take a picture. she doesn't really like being dirty so she didn't put too much paint on her, just enough on her arms and hands so she has to take a bath. but it wasn't too much to clean up cause the only other place she got paint was the paper. so i didn't mind giving her a bath, i don't have too much to do this morning anyway.

That is so funny!! Little girls are really sneaky and figure out ways to get what they want, even something as silly as taking a bath!!

i know i have to watch how i word things with her. i posted a while back about telling her to pick up her toys and i said nothing belongs on the floor which she then responded but mom the bed is on the floor, the dresser is on the floor and so on. it was funny

LOL!!!! That sound like something my kids do.
My little one actually took off her diaper and hopped on the toilet this morning so she could take a bath. (One of her pottty training things--potty then bath) She was mad with me when I told her we didn't have time. Had to get the other kids to school. I'm happy, however, that she went potty. :)
