Have you ever given "beauty tips" to other shoppers?

We have a super walmart near us so I do most of my grocery shopping there, plus picking up lotion, hairspray, etc. A couple weeks ago when I was there, I went to get another bottle of face lotion. I use the equate brand of oil of olay. Works great and less expensive than the name brand. A lady asked me what I used, so I showed her and explained why I used that one. She liked my advice, thanked me an dpicked up one for herself! Has anything like that ever happened to you? What's your "tip" story?

no i can not say that i have to gve advice in store. i would prolly laugh if i was asked becase i have no sense of beauty product. i am a man and i only know deodorant and shampoo. haha

No, somehow I don't think a woman would be asking you for beauty advice?! Guys ask each other sometimes though. I've heard them do it! LOL

This isn't a beauty tip but.... I was at Trader Joe's picking up my usuals,and a guy was pondering over the low fat chocloate torte. I told him I highly recommend it-- it's delicious if a little rich. So he scooped one up-- and so did I!

I have done that on occassion. Usually like you I'll be in the aisle looking for my stuff. Either someone will ask or now and then I'll see them looking at it all really confused, then I'll ask what they are lookign for. Once I know I'll suggest something if it's something I know about. I've had it happen not only in the skin care or beauty section but also believe it or not over in the cleaning supply section. A lot of people will ask over there when they see you pick up something and ask if it really works. I'll let them know how I feel on something. I hope it helps them out.
