2007-03-16 Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets
March 16, 2007 12:26pm CST
This is the first time in 2 years the Raptors will have to face the Rockets with Yao Ming in the line-up. The Rockets are probably the team the Raptors should fear most, not because they are an unbeatable team, but they seem to match up with the Raptors fairly well (maybe it's just me). This will be a very interesting game, to see if the Raptor Offense can overcome the Houston defense. Houston's only defensive weakness is giving up too many rebounds. The Raptors biggest offensive weakness is grabbing those same rebounds. I think whichever teams weakness shows more will end up losing this game. The Raptors real advantage is wanting this win more. If the Raptors win tonight, they will move ahead of Washington for 3rd in the East. If Washington falls or Miami keeps surging, the Raptors could find themselves facing the Wizards in the first round. If the Raptors can win tonight, I think they will more than likely keep 3rd in the conference and draw the Bulls or Wizards in the playoffs. Houston on the other hand is going nowhere in the standings. They need to go up 4.5 games or down 7 games to move in the standings. (Even if they go up their opponent doesn't change, just who gets home court). The Rockets could and should be but probably won't be coasting to the playoffs.

As long as Ming is in the lineup I don't belive the Raptors can beat the Rockets, as was seen the other day. Bosh was unable to stop him, and the Raptors just looked like they could not handle the Rockets with the big guy in thel ineup.

the rockets are one of the most dominating teams in the nba right now with one of the best duos around which is the big man yao ming and mr. clutch tracy mcgrady as long as they have that duo then they have a chance to make it to the playoffs
