Rating

I rate everyone who responds to my discussions with a +. In my opinion people who take the time and make the effort to answer deserve it. I will only ever give a - if the reply is really offensive or obscene. As for best response I always wait at least a few days or even a week before giving it. I would never give a - rating to a response just because they don´t agree with me.

Yes, I do rate the responses that I receive to my own discussions. I also rate the responses that people post to other people's discussions. And I rate other people's discussions also.

I have yet to give anyone a negative rating I'm like you if I don't like it I don't rate it. As for best responses It depends on the discussion I have started

I marked my first best response a few days ago. I didn't even know how to do it at first. I didn't ever pay attention to the blue writing, "mark best response." And I didnt know I could rate responses on a regular basis either until I read your post. Then I noticed the + and - next to the comments. Now I'll start rating a lot more! I'm with you hon - I rate everyone who responds and unless it is rude or extremely offensive then I always give a + there was only once I gave a -, no sorry I did it by mistake once - sorry whoever you were but I didn't know how to fix it! Good post!

I do the same as Royal does, rate responses to both my own discussions and others'. However, I don't always rate them, just when I happen to agree with them or think that the response is very informative.

I try to rate all discussions and responses. I pay extra attention to those who responded to one of my own discussions, but I try to get to all responses that I read. I also rate most of them as a + because as long as they haven’t violated the rules, they don’t necessarily have to agree with my opinion. I may not rate some responses at all if I feel that they did not put any effort into their answer. If they can't type more than one word in their answer, I probably won't bother rating them. Why waste my time when they can't be bothered to type something more then that. Those who have done something offensive or abusive are the only ones that I feel deserve a – rating. Additionally, when I see responses that clearly violate myLot terms, such as the time when part of my discussion was copied as a response, I will report these to myLot immediately, then rate them - because I really hate to see people abuse the site like that.
