I am rather my dad's child. I would rather go to my dad and speak out with him if I have any problem rather than going to my mom, not that she doesn't understand but I prefer going to Dad. They generally say, Dad likes their daughter's more than son and Mom is vice versa. Do one believes so?

I think it is dependent upon the kind of upbringing you get from both your parents and their attitudes to you.If you observe that mum has to do all the work at home and look after you, wash your clothes, fill up your lunch boxes, cook lunch and dinner for dad and you, then it is obvious that she does not have much patience to listen to you.At one point I would have felt the same but as I observed them and the situations in my family,I understood my parents better,I began to understand what made them behave the way they did.I love both my parents equally and so do our parents. They have always tried to create a kind of open atmosphere for us to start discussions in, listen to what we have to say, correct us if we are srong and commend us when we are right.

My parents both are working, my mom does take time to talk to me once she is back from office while cooking or watching tv she does speak to me n she understands me more than my father but I am feel like going to dad n talk out in any situation coz' I feel he would guide me properly rather mom gets worried more and thinks less and get tensed up.

I think I'm more like my dad but I talk to and spend more time with my mom.
