Women: When did you start planning your wedding?

I know whenever I talk to close female friends we always end up admitting we started planning what our wedding would be like in early adolescence. I know, now, in my twenties, that marriage isn't all about the wedding and a lot of my plans have changed, but things like my bouquet (lilies) and my dress (simple sheath) have remained since the beginning. Who else dreamed?

I had little girl dreams of flowers and poofy dresses, but I didn't start researching weddings or wedding planning until about 8 months after I got engaged.

8 months into your engagement? How long were you 2 engaged before the big day? I notice that's another trend lately.. long engagements. I like it, think it gives you both a chance to hash out things before all the wedding stress, and gives you tons of time to plan everything. My big sister is doing all her planning in less than a year, and I think most of the time she's ready to pull her hair out by her roots and scream at someone.

We aren't married yet. We're shooting for next year, but it doesn't really matter much.

Ya know, now that you bring it up.. I dont think I ever really dreamed about my wedding growing up. I've settled down with someone and we do plan to marry and once we started talking about it, thats when I started dreaming about the perfect wedding. Good discussion!

Yes, wedding is a dream of many women. They always plan their weddings like this or like that. I think after at least 6 years , I will start to plan my wedding. Because I am young now, I have a lot of other things to do except getting married. But sometimes it goes through my mind quickly.
