What really annoys you?

Do you have a pet peeve? Is there something that you absolutely cannot stand? Is there someone you have to deal with every day that just drives you nuts? There are some people that make you groan and want to hide.. who are they and why? I'll be the first to say that I have quite a few peeves.. people that chew loudly, gum smacking, tail gaters, and people that stand too close to me are some of them. There is a girl I work with who is very loud on the phone, dishes her personal conversations to the whole department and doesn't care. It doesn't faze her and I cannot understand how it doesn't bother her.. for everyone to roll their eyes when she gets on the phone. Another lady smells really badly of body odor, yet no one says anything. If I was her friend I would be the first to say something.. but no, everyone just talks about it. Bad drivers.. I could go on and on about people on cell phones, people that drive too fast and brake at the last minute, cars with mysterious broken turn signals.. need I go on? Your turn.. vent away!

There are tons of things that annoy me, and I'm sure I'll think of lots more after I've posted this. LOL! I hate people who are rude, who chew with their mouths open, who cuss in front of kids, who don't pay attention when they're walking or driving, who think they're so much better than others, who don't do as they say they do. There's so much more... Probably too many things that I really don't want to be thinking about before bedtime.

I have some pet peeves too. I really don't like those nosy person that keep on tracking other person's lives. They keep on telling to anybody what happen to her or to him. I mean, they should try to do their business. They don't have any business running somebody else's lives... I also don't like the one you wrote to your post of being loud... I also have an officemate who is so loud in eating and talking with us (but not on the phone...;)) I mean maybe she could tone her voice down, I sometimes feel embarrassed and irritated whenever I am with her during lunch time... that really makes me so pissed off with her..... Lastly, people who is double faced. When they are in front of you, they are so nice with you but when you turn your back to them, guess what????? So many negative things have said to you.... Now that's really annoying.....

I can whole heartedly agree with the last one. It makes me sad to know that people who I think are my friends talk bad about me. I have been in that situation many times and its really not worth it to get fired up over.. just keep thinking, what goes around comes around, karma will come back and haunt them.. and the loud person thing-- I just want to say SHHH!!!

my pet hate was in my last discussion today , i have a lot of friends and a great family and I am not used to someone putting me down , it hurts , and fool that I am it makes me cry , the same guy has written responses to 2 of my discussions and I have reported it twice so have many of my friends , he is still getting off wit it , he is sad I think to have to do this , and I suppose I gave in to him by getting upset , any way I feel better now for getting it of my chest ,, thank you lol xx

there are people who do annoy me but i try to hold it and ignore it. although you have a point with the gum smacking and stuff. mine is when i go to my grandmas, my cousins fight all the time and its always from the youngest cousin who starts and the older cousin is always to be blame for it. it really annoys me. the oldest cousin does something bad, hes the only one who gets blame for it. my little cousin does something wrong, his older brother gets also the blame. when his older brother does something to earn something, its my little cousin who really earns it. that is messed up to me. my little cousin can go to his friends house living in another neighborhood, his brother cannot even go to his friends house, next door. his little brother is 7 and he is 12.

Do your cousins (their parents) understand that its not fair to treat the older one like that? He is going to remember that for the rest of his life. I hope things change!

people who think they are smarter or better than you and you can tell by the way they speak to you or the tone of their voice. I work with a guy like this I just want to smack the living daylights out of !!! People who tell you things about themselves you really don't want to or need to know. People that cut you off in traffic. People that call with stupid questions at my job that have nothing to do with Police business. (what time do the trains run?) People who ask a question, then don't listen to the answer, only to ask again... too many things to list !! lol

I feel you on that one. Its like what do you say to someone who thinks they know it all? Ninety percent of the time I just walk away but I'm telling you, sometimes I want that last word. I let it fire me up but its something I can't stand!

yes my pet peeve is that we have three dressers in our bedroom but yet I have a pile of clothes that I have no place to put. why you wonder? it is because my boyfriend has three dressers full of clothes that he dont and cant wear but just cant seem to get him to get rid of them so that I can put the clothes that we do wear in them. that is my pet peeve.

My biggest pet peeve of all time is probably lateness. I can't stand it when I have plan with someone and they come a half an hour to 45 minutes after they were supposed to be there. Have a little respect for others or at least pick up the darn phone! I'm sure I have a lot more but I don't think I'll go into that today, I could be 90 years old by the time I finish,LOL!

My pet peeve for today is music added to TV programs. We will be watching an interesting program only to have it completely spoiled by background music, that often becomes so loud it drowns out the words of the actors. I have actually turned to other programs because of this and would do it more, except that the other programs are usually just as bad. Grrr.

I agree! I also don't like it when commercials seem SO much louder than the show was and I need to constantly adjust the volume. Good one!

There is someone I work with that insists on telling these silly, lame jokes every morning at work.
I just don't want to hear them at 6 a. m.
I'm not even awake yet and I get bombarded with this stuff.
Makes me just crazy!!

Oooh I can identify with that too because I'm at work at 6 am. I don't want to talk to anyone, hear anyone, and I certainly don't want to smile!! Makes me crazy too!

like most people i hate the scratching of a chalkboard its very annoying and it mskes me shiver just thinking about it as for people i woludnt want to start on people i know at least 30 people who are annoying

My pet peeve is tardiness and not doing what you say your going to do. I get so mad when someone says they will call me or email or whatever and its like 4 days later and their excuse is "oh sorry i forgot". It just really gets under my skin because it is so easy to pick up your cell and just call. And thats the end of my rant on my pet peeve

Yes!!!! I get annoyed by people who do not know how to behave... who have no manners whatsoever... I live with 3 guys in a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom apt.. and its not as bad as it sounds... the roomate who shares the bathroom with me is great.. he is just amazing... then.. one of the other two is just the opposite.. its the most obnoxious/self-center/ discusting guy you'll ever meet.. he goes around scratching his parts which i find not appropriate.. and also he doesnt apport anything to the house... he is a pig... he doesnt clean. his room is always a mess... he doesnt take the trash out, he doesnt vaccum... and when he cooks.. he doesnt clean his dishes... it really pisses me off.. I cant wait till he gradates in may... I ussually have no problem with people.. but this guy is just toooooooooooooooooooooooo arrogant..! hehe..

Ignorance really bothers me. It is ok to not know something. But just plaid ignorance bothers me.
Some examples: Someone who don't vote complaining about politics. If you don't vote you have excluded yourself from the conversation so shaddap.
The people who don't work or don't pay taxes who complain about paying taxes. Watch there will be 302,587,523 people who don't work or pay taxes complaining that they pay retail tax. LOL That doesn't count because you can buy your items through the mail or go to a state that doesn't charge & not pay tax.
These are just 2 of them. I don't understand these people who sit in the stadium watching and think they are part of the game.

There are two things that really bug me. The first is when someone is watching tv or listening to something, and someone comes in and turns on the other appliance, or starts playing an instrument over it. I think it's really, really rude. The other thing I think is really rude is when I'm asleep and people are singing at the top of their lungs downstairs knowing I'm asleep. Another thing I thnk is just rude.

My newest pet peeve is it seems whenever I go to the grocery store lately, I always get stuck in line behind the lady with a kazillion coupons, and then she writes a check.
Why are people still writing checks these days when check cards are so much easier?
I guess each to their own, but it's so much easier, and takes less time to use a card.

My pet peeve is talking on the telephone to machines instead of people. You have to press or say this number and if you say three, they don't understand you, or else you have to go through sixty numbers before you can speak to a customer representative. It drives me insand, and I can scream into the telephone and guess what someone hears what you are saying all the time. What a waste of our time, money, energy and efforts in cummunication.
