According to me, 9/11 is one incident that has changed the way we look at the world. Since the WTC collapse, everything has changed ranging from the way we travel to the way we use the internet. Our privacy has become very less. An new arms race has begun, and maybe we all are going towards doomsday.

I think the internet itself has changed the world drastically. We are able to communicate in seconds. A hundred years ago, it took weeks for a letter to travel accros the United States. Now you can get an answer to an e-mail in a minute or two if the person you are writing to is home to receive the message--or if they have text-message capabilities, they don't even need to be at home. No wonder the world seems so much smaller these days. I don't like to think that we are going towards doomsday. The Bible tells us that nation will rise against nation until the end of time on earth so the new arms race is really nothing new. My hope, as a Christian, is that when the final battle does take place, it will be a signal for all believers everywhere to look up, for, as the Bible says, our redemption will soon take place. Wow. This is an exciting time to be alive.

Thank you for your reply. Ya, internet has changed the world in a way even god wouldn't have imagined. One example is that, i am from India, you are from US, and we are discussing something. You seem to be very religious and optimistic, good.

One thing that has changed the world is the invention of the in-home toliet. I mean could imagine having to go in an outhouse all the time. Indoor plumbing is great. Being able to fluch a toliet and have your waste be gone is huge. It makes the world more sanitary and more convient. Can you name the guy who invented the toliet as we know it??
