at the moment, i still have yet to decide who to vote. and honestly, i really don't feel like casting my vote this time. how about you guys? what kind of politician would you go for? not necessarily just for filipinos. anyone's insight is welcome. c",) . personally, i have a few requirements: . 1. results-oriented: i want someone who would ensure projects are finished accordingly. and after finishing projects, they don't post a HUGE billboard stating its their project. politicians here often post billboards bigger than their actual projects (specially streetlights, they plant 2 or 3 lampposts, and put a billboard hanging on those 3 lampposts... lousy, ain't it?). i want politicians to be humble enough not to brag about their projects. . 2. transparent: i want someone who would always be ready to answer any question thrown to them. politicians here only keep blaming one another. and the blaming goes on until everyone forgets what they're blaming each other for. they're making a circus out of the government. i have other things in mind, i'll post when i get over it. . how bout you guys? care to share your insights?

Good question! Personally, here are my criteria when choosing somebody to vote for: He or she must -- 1) Be morally upright - doesn't cheat on his/her spouse, (imagine how much money that politician needs to maintain more than one family?! and where will he/she get that?! from the people's money of course!) 2) Have a good track record - what has he/she done in the past? any laws or resolutions passed that really helped the masses? was he/she convicted of any crime in the past? ever been jailed or accused of doing illegal things? 3) Have a modest lifestyle - how does this politician and his family live? is it within reasonable means given that as a politician he/she only receives this much salary? (I was appalled when the Palaban show at GMA7 showed how Mike Defensor and Chiz Escudero loved branded items so much that their shoes alone cost more than P20k per pair! Defensor's children were shown wearing LaCoste shirts costing P3k each! What a blatant show of total indulgence in the face of millions of Filipinos not even having enough to eat!)

hmm.. good observations.. these are really considerable criteria... c",) . on #1, personally, i can't really tell which one doesn't.. i guess those who are amassing less kickbacks.. coz they won't need much to cover one family. lolz! kiddin.. c',) . on #2.. hmmm.. theres a few senatoriables who we can say they have good track records. but considering other things are such a headache.. . on #3.. hahaha.. i can't think of any senatoriable with that feature.. heck to anyone who'd say pichay's got that! who the hell would spend more than 2 billion pesos for a Php30k seat? (are my numbers right?)
