OK - so nice, simple, easy question today - I can't think too much at weekends these days! Guess we all love music of some kind or another - so what is "YOUR" kind? Do you like Classical or Rock? Rap or Country and Western? Jazz or Folk? For me - well I was a teenager in the UK in the 70's, so ues I have always been a bit of a "rock chick" - LOL! I used to love the great British "rock" bands like Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, and I still listen to them a lot today. So what about you?

Like you, I am into rock and roll - classic rock! My favorites are Genesis, Yes, Led Zep, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, The Doors etc. I like Disco, too, and some soft rock - Bee Gees, Abba, Linda Rondstadt . . . Rap is really the only thing I don't get into - that, and classical.

I agree with you about Rap. I work with a lovely young guy who is a Rap DJ, and he is always trying to convert me! So far it hasn't worked - LOL!

haha i do love your taste in music! I am a total fan aswell. I do love something in every genre though so it would be hard to say my deffinate favorite. 60's music and rock are probably the ones i listen to most.. so i would go with the 60's/70's. i cant get enough of that happy go lucky sound :) I love millie small and i have a few ohio express songs that i love.. as well as all the old time fav's like andy williams, dusty springfield, the supremes, otis reading lol.. Love it. I wish i was born in that time period and hearing it when it first came out. But alas, im 19 and am being bought up in manufactured tripe :)

Well I agree the music nowadays isn't as good as the stuff 30 or 40 years ago - but I wouldn't mind being 19 again! LOL! Cheers!

Just had to stop in quickly to see what was going on- and of course you and i again are in sync with our likes.... My favorite is classic rock... my first love was the Beatles then as a teen Led Zepplin, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Ac/Dc, Bad Company, etc....... I do love all music- next in line would be big band, swing and 50's cause i love to dance. Of course the 80's pop music is always handy for a good time, disco rings back fond memories too! Just as the old rap does from the 80's and early 90's. And classical music is great to relax by and Opera when I'm feeling weird--Carmen is my favorite. Hope all is well with you-- nothing yet on a job- but i am going to my 6th wake this month --- will be in touch soon.

I love a good soundtrack for a movie and love to get them when the songs truly rock. Some of my favorites here include: Center Stage, Save the Last Dance, Step Up, Chicago, Now and Then, Princess Diaries 1&2, Shrek 1&2, Scooby Doo 2, George of the Jungle, and many others... I love christian music mostly from air1 http://www.air1.com you can actually stream it to your computer too. My FAVORITE radio station comes in a stream http://www.kbig104.com I also love disco music and would have loved to have grown up in the time period! I was born in 1979 but barely just 11 days before 1980 :p I love oldies too but dont hear them as much, and todays hits rock! I dont really like country western too much, blues, hard core rap, or too hard rock. Jazz is OKAY I guess not that bad. Jack Johnson & Norah Jones are some of my favorite artist. :)) Some of my top favorite christian artists are Jars of Clay, Toby Mac, and Newsboys! Hope this helps a simple question along :p

Gees, my musical tastes are quite eclectic. Anything from Classical to Country and Western...yes, I love both types. LOL. I love, rock, blues, jazz...anything from the late fifties onwards. It's actually easier to tell you what I don't like, heavy metal and rap and that electronic carp. I love bagpipes and Irish dancing tunes. So much music gives my soul a lift so easily.

I'm not into one specific type of genre but if I had to narrow it down it would be folk (particularly "show of hands") or blues. there's so much great music out there and if i'm honest I prefer lisenting to it live rather than on CD or radio as there's just something so special about live music. Wouldn't it be dull without music

I love pop music the best, mostly stuff from the 80s, I can't stand music of today and as for rap, yuk, drivel! I love groups like Roxy Music, Duran Duran, UB40 and the list goes on. I'm always listening to pop whether it's at home on the computer, in the car on the stereo or on my Ipod at the gym.

I am only recently exposed to Western music, and I seem to like the seventies music. I like Pink Floyd very much, and Genesis too. Phil Collins happens to be my weak spot. I am just getting exposed some wonderful music of the past which I missed out mainly because I was born only in the latter half of the seventies and the availability of all kinds of music in my place is actually a recent phenomenon. However, I enjoy listening to the Beatles and Abba.

i go for pop, mellow songs and love songs. they make my spirits high and give me that drive to work for more. i really can't explain my feelings whenever i hear love songs sung by various artists either foreign or local. my list includes the songs from FOREIGNERS, PHIL COLLINS, CELINE DION, and many more.
