Cats and dogs in danger from food

Yesterday on the evening news they talked about a major recall of dog and cat food by Menufoods. This company makes a lot of the food consumed by cats and dogs in the United states and Canada. A number of cats and dogs have died from eating their foods. That is why Menufoods has instituted a major food recall. You can go to

Is this just for the U.S or other countries too? I don't have pets but my sister in the U.K has a cat and a doggies..Shall I alert her about it? Thank you so much for this useful info..I will definately be passing it on..

I don't know how many nations sell Menu Foods (a Canadian company). A lot of their food in made in the United States. I am just glad that we use a different kind of cat food for our kitty.

My husband told me about that the other day. Thanks for posting the site. I went and checked and none of the foods I feed my babies is on the lists. I feel so bad for the people whose pets have passed away or suffered from these foods. My heart goes out to them.

Yes, I have been sad about this too. My wife received an email today about how to help your pet if they have been poisoned. I will try to list some of the ideas in the email in a discussion.

I read about that and sent the info on to other pet owners. Did you see that they added some more foods to that list today? Some sort of Purina was on the list as well. I can't imagine the fear some pet owners are feeling, or the anguish.

The trouble is that their recall list seems to go on forever. They make so much of the pet food.
