OK now I want you all to be honest about this, my granddaughter came to visit tonight as her boyfriend had promised me a loan of a DVD, his little brothers DVD called HAPPY FEET its a children's DVD and its all about penguins ( I think its animated ) my hubby thought this was hilarious and said I was a big kid ( we both knew that anyway lol ) but how many of you will honestly admit to watching your children's DVDs, It is so nice to watch something and sing along and not be embarrassed xx

When my kids were little it was a great excuse to sit and watch all the Disney films with them. Also The Snowman, that still makes me cry!!! Even now my 17 yr old daughter will put on her favourite films and I will join her, they bring back fond memories, especially The Little Mermaid, which she bought herself for xmas on DVD!!! My mum and dad make me laugh, they are in their 60's and 70's and absolutely love Shrek!!

Once i saw a quotation like this "definition of adult :- adults are just Big kids". We are that same person that was twenty years before the point is that we are bigger in size with a little more experience of everything. Sometimes i really wonder to myself like am i crazy, specially when i watch cartoons.

You need to watch Barnyard Animals and Over the Hedge. Those two are so funny to watch. I'm a 30 year old mom and thank goodness I have two small kids so I can buy these types of movies without all the strange looks, lol. The Ice Age movies and Shrek movies are just as funny. It's fun to be able to sit down and watch a movie as a entire family and be able to laugh and have a good time. Plus you stay young longer if your young at heart.

Happy feet was cool, I really enjoyed it, as I also enjoyed Shrek and Ice Age, not to mention Toy Story and Monster's Inc. I love most of the kids movies and buy them so that I can watch them.

Since when Happy feat is just for kids? I don't think that way. I think that most of the cartoons are for everyone not just for kids. And this movies are a good example of a cartoon that it's not just for kids. And yes I love cartoons and I don't mind being a big kid :)

I too enjoy many children;s videos! I was never crazy about the Disney cartoons, even when I was a little kid... but these new Pixar ones are cool! I take my nephew, niece, and two little girls to see many of these movies. But I also watch them on my own, too! I haven't seen Happy Feet yet but my mom and I are planning to rent it together once it comes to Blockbuster. And my aunt loaned me her children's copy of Finding Nemo when it was first out, and I watched it all by myself! ;) Its never too late to have a happy childhood!

Oh please! I'll be the first one to admit it and so will my hubby. One of first dates when he came to see me in Canada we were in the hotel and trying to decide what to watch before tea. We decided on Shrek! We laid on the bed on our bellies, singing along, laughing and that became 'our' movie! :) We even had one of the songs from it at our wedding! We definitely enjoy the animated movies and sit on the settee eating popcorn and laughing and enjoying ourselves to no end. Maybe this is why we don't look our ages but much much younger???

I LOVE watching movies like that. As a matter of fact, Happy Feet is on the top of my list of DVDs to buy. So is Ice Age 2. Heck, my hubby even watches them (so tell your hubby that, and give him a big "pffffffftttttt" from me! LOL). Being a big kid is a good thing. It keeps us young.

Oh weemam what excellent taste you have. that movie won an academy award for something and rec'd excellent reviews. No wonder you loved it. Of all the movies recently released it's the very one I would like to see. But of course that's not going to happen any time soon. I find things are just too expensive for me. Renting is out of the question as the nearest town with rental DVD's is over an hour away and you don't want to do that trip twice in two days. Makes the cost of watchiong the movie ever so slightly prohibitive. I love kids movies and books. Some shildrens books are marvellous....look at Roald Dahl, Colin Thiele, C.S. Lewis just to name a few. If you talk to a psychologist he/she will tell you we all have a child, an adult and a parent within our psyche. Some of us lose the ability to identify with our child...finding it easier to identify with the parent within. Like you, I identify with my child easily, & on a daily basis. The child in me is very special to me.

LOL...weemam, who says watching children's DVD are for the young ones only. I have a huge collection of those DVD's here. I know all the movies by heart. My daughters are constantly watching and I found myself laughing most of the time. Its a good feeling, if you ask me. Makes you feel younger.
