Men are commonly misunderstood when it comes to personal hygiene or being vain. I have guy friends who have lots of rituals before going to sleep and before going to work than i do. Do you think that too much vanity of men may affect their personality or their identity?

I think personal hygiene is part of personal responsibility. It is not wrong - and in fact correct - to keep yourself clean and groomed. If you need those "rituals", it can't be helped. If you can be as clean by popping a pill (2 sec work) instead of hours-long rituals, why, I think many would certainly prefer the first! By taking effort to be responsible.. I think this is something to be applauded. :P

-Do you man their identity as men ? -Well I dont think toilet habits make someone vain however intricate they may be . A vain person whether a man or a woman is an unhealthy and unreliable person , because they frequently assign themselves importance and priority more than is merited . They will frequently end up supplying the demand for vanity in the wrong way ,either by patronizing others or cheating them etc all because they think they are superior in some way to others . So yes , vanity can affect personality and identity .
