to save on money, i'd really save on other things. like i make sure that we pay low electricity bill so we minimize the use of lights at home. we turn off the lights when it is not needed. we stick to the budget. i make a list whenever i go to the grocery. i only buy the necessities first and if there is an extra, i buy a little of the luxuries like chocolates. i cook food for the day, so i won't use the stove again. i'd also prepare lunch for my husband so that he won't buy dine out anymore. i'd also check schedules for sales. we'd buy items during this times to save a little. when we go to near places, we'd just walk instead of taking a ride. not only can we save but we also get to have an exercise.

Thanks so much for your tips! I've found that cooking for the week, like every Sunday, has saved me electricity of time and energy from cooking everyday of the week when I'm too tired to. I too stick to a list while shopping and to keep my hands from reaching out to the items not on the list, i carry a pen to keep my other hand occupied :) Good luck and thanks for shairing!

There are a lot of things to do, budget on food, buy things when they are on sale. Don't buy personal stuff like a new skirt or something like that. Don't go shopping with the kids, they will always see something they will need to have(according to them) Don't go shopping when you are hungry, you are more likely to buy more stuff. Only buy everything from your shopping list, go to different stores so you can compare the prices. Buy food and freeze it in.And this is only a short list how to save money when doing groceries

There are hundreds of ways to save money. You can start saving money by carefully going over your current monthly expenses to see what you really need. Sometimes you'll find that you're actually paying for services you no longer use. Opt for wash and wear clothes that don't require dry cleaning. That will save you at least $50 monthly. See if you can car-pool to work with your spouse or another coworker. Many people do this in the big city and see signifigant money savings. Using a crockpot will save on your electric bill and grocery bill, (since most crockpot recipes use scratch ingredients.) Cut out convenience or fast foods, whenever possible. Just a few ideas that have worked for me. Best of luck on saving money.

I have discovered that when you want to make regular savings it works better when you the intervals are short like weekly or daily than when make it very long like monthly or annually especially if you are self-employed. So, I use daily savings method. http://www.savepregnancyguide.com http://www.diyhomeimprovementtips.com
