Today is the only day during the week, I have time where I can get in my kitchen and throw down...I tend to cook a rather big meal. Even though it's just me and my son, I still enjoy having the time to prepare a nice meal and we can sit at the table and just talk and enjoy our food. Today on my menu, I'm having is Cabbage, mac and cheese, yams, meatloaf, and cornbread. What's on your menu for today's meal? How often do you prepare a big meal? For those who's just eating and not cooking, what's on your menu today? :)

Wow! You are making a big meal! I cook meals nearly every night, but sometimes we have those days where we cheat and have a frozen family dinner and a salad or something. I like putting on a large meal, but it is just me and my 2 small children. I really don't like keeping too many leftovers, so I don't cook an abundance of food too often. When I have guests, I am more likely to go all out and plan a bigger meal.

Chili beans with pork and sausages. Losts of chili peppers, carrots, celery, red and green onions, garlic, herbs and spices. I let this cook down until the beans are nice and tender. On the side steamed broccoli and salad with tomatoes, greenleaf lettuce, cilantro, jicama, and a squeeze of lime. My dinner was fabulous! Thanks for asking. LOL!

I actually don't know. On Sundays, we go to my parents' for dinner, and I have never asked in advance what would be made. If we were going ot my husband's I'd know, because they have a traditional Sunday dinner that his mom always makes if any of her kids are going to be there on a Sunday.

I have to cook a big meal every day since we are a family of 5. My Son is a 17 yr old wrestler and not only does it have to be a lot of food but very healthy too. Today we are having pork tenderloin rubbed with multiple spices, garlic steamed broccoli, baked potato with salsa ( sour cream a no no ) 3 bean salad and a regular green salad with the addition of hard boiled egg slices and avocado in a balsomic vinegar dressing

Hello everyone. Today, I cooked ceviche, you may not know what it is. Ceviche is a peruvian dish based on fish. It has fish, onions, lemmon, salt, sweet potato, corn, "culantro"(spanish word), "Aji limo" (like chili). Its a really tasty dish. My favourite. I made this dish because my sister just came from the United States and she wanted to eat good :p. I live in Peru btw. :).

On todays menu in my home, I have roasted a whole chicken in homemade garlic and onion sauce, topped off with homemade gravey. On the side I have whipped up some white fluffy rice and california style vegetables. A straight "A"meal to stick to your tummy! Umm Umm Good!

I do the majority of my cooking on Sunday. I cook all the different meats that I will be eating during the week. Then during the week I just have to cook the veggies. Tonight is pork steak with green beans. I usually have 1 meat and either one or two vegetables.

I usually cook our dinner every night. Tonight my husband won't get home until late so I'll probably just throw some chicken in for me or something and make a veggie to go with it.
