Online poker for Americans

Is anyone else just a tad annoyed that the American government has put a ban on online gambling? From what I read in the papers, the banks will be hit with major fines if they even cash a check from an offshore gaming company. The only reason they are doing this is because they have not found a way to get a piece of the pie. I think the government should be watching our borders or our elected officials or terrorist activities and just leave the people to their games What do you think?

Have you guys tried www.e-pokerusa.com ? It's a brand new poker site that's run by an American company and is legal in the states ! It's a variation on the Hold'Em game, but you still play your normal Hold'Em at the table.

I've replied to several of your other posts that I found to be intereting topics. This one though... gambling is an addiction. Do you do it often? Are your blls being paid? Does it cause problems in your relationships?

No I am not addicted I just do truely enjoy texas holdem. Money is more of a way of keeping score. The free and fun sites people play like it's free. No one would call an all in bet of 1500 with a Q3 off suit. It's more about the enjoyment is all

It just makes me sick ! I mean really, this government of ours is a rip. They don't have their hands in the cookie jar because the poker sites have their bases outside us borders. The us gov doesn't get the green see how quick they shut you down. Disgusting

I stopped playing online poker a while ago. Right when shut down began. I am assuming that there are still places to play, correct?

I am a strong believer in Freedom. The Government is starting to tell us every move we can make. I agree woth you that they should worry about the major issues and stay out of the rights of the people to choose what they want to do for entertainment. Where does the Government telling us what to do stop? How long will it be before the Government takes over the Internet?

don't think they haven't already in many forms. There are many sites you will not be able to access. There are filters and blockers put up. You will not see any sites that shows us in a less than perfect position. Sad but at least in this country we can speak out against our country without fear of retribution. That's something I guess
