I am in school for my BSN right now, and am wondering how many of you out there are also in college. I am hoping this will be a nice way to earn a couple of extra bucks/month since things have been tight around here! Why does college have to be so expensive??

I am in school pursuing a degree in Art History and a certificate in museum studies. College is a rip! I checked my college bookstore for a TI84 I need for my statistics class - they were asking $30 over the suggested manufacturers retail and $45 more than Target and Walmart. Yikes! I also never buy my books from the school bookstore. I get them on amazon or half.com and I save at least $50 a book that way. And my bookstore will buy them back from me at the end of the semester (they also rip you off!) or I can resell on amazon or half.com

half.com is one of the most amazing places ever! The bookstores in school are such a joke, shoot, even the USED books cost me around $200 or more. It freakin' ridiculous I tell you!

My most expensive book last semester was $140 used. ::sigh:: and I'm probably only going to get $20 for it if I take it to the bookstore to sell back. My American Gov't was a paperback book like you would get at Barnes and Noble and it was $80. I love books but not that much!

I actually just graduated this past December. However, my boyfriend is just starting pre-pharmacy, so he's got about 7 years ahead of him. Good luck with school!

Just wanted to stop in on this discussion (even if it is 3 months old!) and tell you that you have chosen a most rewarding career! I have been a registered nurse for 28 years and it seems to get better each year! The rewards beyond the paycheck are so many and the possibilities about where/when/how much to work are endless! Best of luck to you in your studies!

I've already finished college but I'm taking up Law. I'm already in my second year. I don't think Mylot is enough to put you through college though. LOL. But it is a great place to kill time. I know what you mean about college being expensive, specially the books.

I am in college also. I am taking BS in Information Technology. I already earn a lot through blogging. I received 175 dollars from Money4blogs and 3,400 pesos from Blog to Profit. Feel free to visit my blog for the details: http://onlinediaryofalritch.blogspot.com/ - there are still a lot of ways to make money online. I am still waiting for them to reach the maximum amount so that i will receive it.

I'm not enrolled in college right now, but I'm kind of in limbo. I was trying to transfer to Virginia Tech from my community college, but my grades aren't good enough I guess so I'm just existing and hoping to go right now.

I am not in college anymore. I have finished my schooling.. thank goodness.. those dreadful days lol. :P Anyway here in Singapore, teaching tuition is very popular. Not sure if it is feasible where you are. Students here make big bucks teaching part-time tuition.
