When my son was teething the only thing that would really sooth him was a walk outside in his stroller. My second child never had a bad problem with teething except it gave him diaper rash. Thank God for Desitin and Ihle's Paste. (Sticky Ihle's Paste can be cleaned easily from hands, skin with baby oil on cotton). Ihle's paste is a diaper rash creme sold under many brand names. To relieve teething discomfort give the baby a frozen bread roll or better yet a frozen bagel, frozen soft pretzel (no salt), or very best I have found is frozen thick cut french fries. The cold relieves the irritation of teething and the object itself will turn to mush from the baby's saliva before they get hold of a piece to choke them.

Frozen carrot has worked for me but you have to be around when the baby is chewing it cause he might swallow too much and there's a fear of choking. I noticed teething also makes kids very irritable and cranky, a walk outside in the fresh air does more good than anything else.

Walks were great for that for sure. It's not only with carrot but with anything you give baby for the mouth, you need to keep your eyes peeled for possible mishaps.
