Indian Cricket Team - Can they lift the World Cup ?

Viru Shewag scored a century after ages against weak Bermuda. But what will he do against Sri Lanka ? Their bowling attack is stronger, fielding is definitely better and also they are much much more experienced than the Bermuda. But again Uthappa flopped in this match and also the experimenting is still going on with the batting line-up. And Dravid's captaincy is getting us nowhere. So what are our chances in this World Cup ? Or are we coming back after the first round ?

Fool's Die - Mario Puzo's Fools Die
It would be foolish to take a performance against Bermuda too seriously. Their bowlers were worse than club cricketers, so nothing should be read from this performance. What troubled me was that Ganguly was finding it difficult to time his shots against Bermuda. I thought he struggled against Bangladesh as well, but stuck in. Sehwag's and India's real test would be against the Sri Lankans on Friday. Cheers! Ram

Thanks ram_cv for your response. Of course the Sri Lanka will be a very tough team to play against with. They are a good balanced side and they have a good mixture of young and experienced players. Regarding to Ganguly I think he is having a trouble in his new role of anchoring one side. He used to be an explosive batsman and now all he has to do is to stick one side of the wicket being cautious. Just my 2 cents.
