Is there ANY WAY to stop junk mail from credit card companies from arriving

I can't stand this. Not a day goes by almost that I don't get mail from either Citibank (that's the worst) or RBC and today CIBC offering me credit cards. These come directly to me, some have my maiden name, and I think this is so scary for identity theft purposes. Peronsally I have called citibank now about 4 times to have them taken off my mailing list. They now finally have stopped delivering mail to my old address, but last week I just got something from them delivered to my new address. I'm so angry at this. What can I do to stop it once and for all?

Return to sender all of them.. it might take a little while but eventually they'll taper off and stop. It requires no money out of your pocket, all you do is write 'Return to Sender' with a slash through the name and addy and stick it back in the mailslot. I'm in a rental house and I used to get these all the time for old tenants, they've stopped now using this method.

There ia an interesting website on this subject from another guy in Canada having the same problems and some of the things he has tried. http://www.ambysoft.com/ideas/reduceJunkMail.html I hope this helps.

thanks that's a great site actually. I really like the idea of sending back other junk mail to them using their own envelope and wasting their own postage.
