are you really saving time or effort by using a washing machine?

i dont really get to wash a lot but sometimes i feel really tired and use it,ut at the end i do double work...you still have to wash you dishes to get stuff the machine wont, and if it is too dirty, the machine will not clean it good and you have to wash it again?

Girl, I always tell my husband I need a dishwasher, probably once a week. I wish I had one the way we dirty dishes. (We actually have one in our garage but haven't gotten anyone to install it yet) go figure, lol. I think you are saving time sometimes if there is a big sink full of dishes but I've never had one so I don't know how much work goes into it but girl I'd be more than happy to rinse them all off and stick them in the dishwasher than having to wash them all and rinse everyone of them by hand. Shoot, I'll have the hubby do it too since he says he does'nt know how to wash them. We'll see how hard it is to put a plate in the dishwasher then!

It sounds as though you need a new dishwasher. I never have to wash anything over although if we have something really messy for dinner, I usually rinse the worst off of the plates before putting them in the diswasher. I try not to let my spoons sit inside each other or they may not get washed thoroughly. I only wash dishes when the dishwasher is full. That means that it may take several days before I actually do a load of dishes. Any glasses or cups that show up on the counter get placed in the dishwasher whenever I come into the kitchen so that the counters always look clean and neat, and I clear the table and load the dishwasher right after meals for the same reason. I lived in my house for two years before I ever used the dishwasher. I was convinced I could do a better job by hand. Boy, was I wrong. Also, since I have been doing dishes in the dishwasher, our family has fewer colds and other sicknesses. The dishwasher does a better job of killing germs.
