Do you think people change after getting married?

I think people change all the time in and out of marriage. If we expect people to stay the same, we delude ourselves. You hear all the time about people who think they are going to change their partners in marriage. That cannot be done. You can't make a person change the way you want them, again both in and out of marriage. You have to expect that all things in our lives are always part of a transition. If you don't, you are fooling yourself which leads to trouble due to inflexibility.

no,i don't think so.someone say that her/his love change after getting married,it is because he/his need change.

I guess love changing and people changing are two different things. I can understand the behaviour changing and people change all the time. I guess love can change too. If you get married without having lived together then the change would be much more drastic than if you did live together, plus also the fact that the relationship after marriage is suddenly different, the partners start taking each other for granted.

yeah i think they do for the better and sometimes for the worse...my ex turned into a control freak it was kinda spooky and somehow i lost self esteem...but other things change to i love the flirty part of my personality and marriage changes that lol..then again with the right person and love and respect i think marriage allows you to reach your full potential cheryl

you seem to be in a happy married relationship . i'm happy for you. you are right,with the right person coupled with love and respect, people change - for the better. Marriage brings out the best in you.
