How Long?

How long is a person considered a new user? I've only been on this site a week, but none of my discussions come up under new user discussions. Is how new you are based on the number of posts you have?

After you have past 1 post I believe that you are no longer considered a new user. So even if on your first day you posted responses to 50 different discussions would not be considered new. Doesn't make sense to me, it should be based on how long you have been here and not posts. If it's based on posts it should be a higher amount as 1 post you still don't know what your doing in most cases. Just my opinion. :)

If none of your discussion came under new users descission, then probably it's based on the number if tour a new user.It isnt based on weeks or month. You can be a user for 2 months, but if you only have 5 posts, you'll be considered as a new user.
