Do you feel the old members of family are "No more Needed"?

I have lost my loving mother an year back and now my father lives with us as our patron of family. I really feel that we should pay as much respect as we can to our elders. I had very much deep feelings and attachment with my parents and now with my father. I believe that he is the man behind all my successes and I do believe that I am so protected while he is here with us. A shelter and a river of prayers countless. How lucky I am? Do you have your parents and other old members of family? What sort of your emotions for them. Please share if you like to. Thanks for all.

I feel blessed that my parents and other older members of my family are still here. I appreciate all the things that they have done for me especially my parents. They have done a lot of sacrifices for me and for my brothers. Even if there are times that we have arguments but I still love them and I still feel very lucky for having them. Arguments can be solved so why make too much fuss about it. I never thought that as they grow older they would be tagged as "No more needed." They are the reason why I am here. They are the reason why I was able to get what I want. My parents didn't ask me to pay them back what they have done for me but that's what I want so I'm doing it. ;) I feel good about it. ;)

No more needed? That is just crazy! Our elderly generation are a wealth of information and wisdom. I love chatting with them because they remember the world when things were not so busy and dangerous. We should be listening to them and learning a thing or two.
