the animals that they are animals. If you tell an animal that you know that they are an animal you will get the "cold-shoulder" from them. I think that they feel that it is a raciest remark. Maybe even derogatory.

Oh, I agree! I always talk to my cats like they are people. To me they are and to them, they are. But I do think sometimes that it's wierd they want to consider themselves human. That may be going downhill!

The cats(2) that I live with are personality ridden. What they think or want you should do and say; "yesmaster,thankyoumaster" when you are done.The younger one isnt as bad as the "oldguy", but he pays attention.

I agree a little. I think our pets are actually the masters. They don't work and yet they still receive all the necessities that we receive. I don't think that animals "think" though. Maybe the tone and inflection you use when saying animals might aggrivate them, but I don't think they consciously get offended.
